SA Uralelektromed exceeded its historical record for the production of copper cathodes

In 2020 Uralelektromed SA (a company of the UMMC metallurgical complex) produced 432,613 tons of cathode copper (105.5% compared to 2019) which is an absolute record in the company’s history.
According to Aleksey Korolev, Chief Engineer of Uralelektromed Ltd., such a high production level was achieved thanks to the regular supply of raw materials, systematic technical re-equipment of the workshops and intensification of the production processes.


In 2020 the company also increased the production of gold ingots by 7%, silver ingots by 10%, copper powder products by 7% and refined lead by 9%. In addition, the company increased the production of copper wire (+25%) and copper conductor cores (+87%).
