JSC “Coal Company “Kuzbassrazrezugol” (an enterprise of the UMMC raw materials complex) won two victories in the competition of effective digitalization projects in the mining industry “Mining Industry 4.0”, which was held within the framework of the International Exhibition of machinery and equipment for mining, processing and transportation of mineral resources “Mining World Russia”.

The project of the coal company “Three-dimensional modeling of coal deposits and organization of remote control of the state of mine works” was recognized as the best in the category “Digitization of open-cast mining operations”. In the category of the same name of the co-organizer of the competition – “Zyfra” Group – won another project of the company, “Automated dispatch system of mining transport equipment of Batchatsky Mine”. Both projects are part of the digital strategy of the transformation program of the coal company “Kuzbassrazrezugol”.

The project “Three-dimensional modeling of coal deposits and organization of remote control of the state of mine workings” is aimed at achieving one of the main goals of the company – to ensure risk-free and failure-free production.

“Today we are creating a multifunctional safety system based on remote control of all crucial safety parameters of mine works”, – says the technical director of JSC “Kuzbassrazrezugol”, Stanislav Matva.

The goal of the project “Automated dispatch system of mining transport equipment of Batchatski Mine” is to increase the efficiency of the company’s mining transport complex through operational management of production.

“The implementation of this system has allowed to reduce the idle time of excavators waiting for dump trucks by one quarter, to increase the loading of dump trucks and to reduce fuel consumption. The expected economic effect is 150 million rubles per year”, – notes the head of management of information technology and production automation of JSC “Kuzbassrazrezugol”, Oleg Chevelev.
The company plans to replicate this project in all its other branches. In 2020 the project of implementation of automated dispatching system in the enterprises of JSC “Kuzbassrazrezugol” was recognized as one of the best projects of implementation of national IT solutions within the framework of the competition of the Russian Fund for development of information technologies. The subsidy granted to the company for the implementation of the project will allow it to equip all mines of “Kuzbassrazrezugol” with the equipment necessary for the work of automated management systems by mid-2022.
