Two housing complexes of the real estate developer “UMMC-Zastroyshchik” – “Makarovsky” and “Nagorny” residential complexes in Yekaterinburg – won the federal urban planning competition “TOP ZhK – 2021” (The Best Housing Complexes 2021).

The competition included 1022 housing complexes owned by 675 developers. 546 new residential complexes from 675 developers were selected for the final in 6 federal and 155 regional categories. The expert jury awarded the 1st place in the most prestigious category – “The best new residential complex in the Russian Federation” – to the residential complex “Makarovsky”. Another residential complex of “UMMC-Zastroyshchik” – Nagorny won the 1st place in the same category but at the regional level – in the Ekaterinburg region.

The competition “TOP ZhK – 2021” is organized by the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation for Entrepreneurship in the field of construction, the Committee of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Russia for Construction and Housing Policy, as well as the association “National Union of Housing Developers” and the professional platform “United Resource of Housing Developers” (ERZ.RF). This year it was conducted in two stages. Between December 2020 and February 2021, the jury evaluated the applications and selected the finalists, and then as part of the RosBuild building week, presented the awards to the winners. In total, the panel selected 155 winners from among the new developments and 280 winners from among 346 developers.

The independent experts evaluated the new buildings according to 106 parameters in 17 groups of key criteria, including: social infrastructure, courtyard design, safety, architecture, facades, elevators, environment for the disabled, etc. The competition criteria incorporated the requirements of the Standard for Integrated Territorial Development developed by the Ministry of Construction of Russia and DOM.RF.
