Since 2000 the UMMC sponsors one of the most important and successful feminine basketball teams of the Ural region : the UMMC Ekaterinburg. The UMMC Ekaterinburg is one of the most titled team in Russia and Europe, having won the feminine Euroleague four times and the national championship eleven times. Many of its players also play in the national team.
