Through UMMC, Iskander Makhmudov also sponsors the sambo (a Russian martial art and combat sport) and table tennis clubs. Both clubs are nationally and internationally recognised as being part of the elite.

The UMMC Sambo Club is very respected in Russia and in the global Sambo world, having won thirteen World Champions titles and eleven European Champions titles.

As for the table tennis club, it was founded in 2007 and regularly sends its team to participate to the Champions League and Russian club championship. The team won the European cup in 2013.
