UMMC’s employee book voted best corporate book of the year
The photo album “UMMC 2019: Key Players” won the competition “Best Corporate Media of Russia – 2020” in the category “Corporate Book”. The results of the contest were announced online on April 30. According to the organizers – the Association of Communication and Corporate Media Directors of Russia – this year many books were sent to the contest, all of them interesting and very different. The jury of experts had to elect the best ones.
The UMMC worked on its book for six months as part of the celebrations of the company’s 20th anniversary. During the preparation, the editorial board visited dozens of companies in various cities, to get to know the extraordinary people who represent the holding. In order to take beautiful pictures they climbed to the roofs, went down to the mines, dived into the lakes, flew to the airplane, went up to the mountains. The key figures of this book are 22 employees and workers of the holding’s companies and 12 talented specialists, who are part of UMMC, who were photographed directly at their workplaces.
“The main idea of this photo album was to show the company’s employees at their workplace, but also in their leisure time. Our key characters are, for example, a loader operator with a passion for oil paint, a miner who, on leaving work, takes off his overalls and puts on a biker vest, a communication technician who is part of a rock band. Each story has been approached with particular attention, the authors of the book have tried to bare their souls, to convey the peculiarities of their characters and to understand what role their profession played in the choice of their hobbies and vice versa”, – the authors of the book tell us.
Previously, the photo album has already won the international corporate media competition “MEDIALEADER – 2019” (3rd place in the category “Best Corporate Special Project”) and the pan-Russian competition “The Silver Sons“.
